Samon:
Victoria, thank you so much for sharing your inspiring journey with us. It’s wonderful to hear how your work has empowered others to embrace their love for building. Now, let’s dive deeper into your social media presence. Could you give our audience a broader overview of how you curate your content across your platforms?
Specifically, you mentioned your ‘Carl’ adventures, which sound incredibly engaging. Could you elaborate on 1-5 pieces of content that you consider your best work, perhaps focusing on these ‘Carl’ adventures or other standout projects? We’d love to hear why these particular pieces hold a special place for you and what makes them your best work. Feel free to give us some behind-the-scenes insights and explain what impact you hoped to achieve with them, and what impact they did achieve.
Also, you touched on discovering new brands like JMBricklayer. Could you share how you approach discovering and selecting brands to collaborate with, and what aspects of those collaborations you find most rewarding?
Victoria Kemper:
My goal for Princess Bricktoria as a social media presence is to share my experiences in the wonderful world of all things brick! I’ve had people approach me in public saying they’ve always loved building brick sets but never felt comfortable admitting it as an adult. They’d go on to say my posts and confidence being myself has helped them do the same. This is why I keep going and keep posting. That and come on, it’s so much fun!! I love discovering new brands, like yours. JMBricklayer was very new to me a year ago and now I’m reviewing sets and collaborating.
Some of my favorite content has to be with “Carl” my upscale brick figure. We travel around and have been everywhere. I took him to Universal Studios, he gambled in Vegas, touched the ocean in Mexico, and even saw giant Lincoln in Washington DC. All of those adventures have been so fun and also a great way to introduce more people to the brick world! (I’d love to see JMB come out with some upscale figures, possibly animals)

Plus this video showing off the amazing brick separator! It’s such a simple video but the joy this little tool gave me really embodies the phrase, “it’s the little things in life.”

Victoria Kemper’s ‘Carl’ adventures are brilliantly creative! Her storytelling through brick figure photography is unique and captivating. Each piece showcases her eye for detail and passion for building. She inspires adults to embrace their inner child and proves that brick building is for everyone. Her work is a testament to imagination and fun!
Part 2 – How Victoria Kemper thinks of the collaboration with JMBricklayer
Let’s showcase the masterpiece that Victoria Kemper has made for us!
Samon:
Victoria, your JMBricklayer experiences are fascinating! Let’s get straight to the highlights: What’s your best advice for fans tackling JMBricklayer’s lighting features? Why did the Rainbow Unicorn and Sunflower stand out to you? Especially the “backlit feature” and the “little drawer” on the sunflower, and the “cyber style music” on the Unicorn. How do JMBricklayer sets help you achieve those ‘win’ moments in your content creation? Briefly, how do you approach filming and creating content for these sets? What can viewers expect from the videos you shared?
Victoria Kemper:
When it comes to brick building it should never feel like a chore. Set yourself up somewhere comfortable, put together some snacks, turn on some tunes, and slowly go through step by step. Also, two things; if you think you’re missing a piece…you’re prolly sitting on it, and it always helps to follow the instructions. I’ve built a lot of sets and these two simple things happen to me a lot! HAHA
As for JMB specific advice just be patient and pay attention to the lighting sections. The lights, in my opinion, make these sets so amazing and with small wires in play it’s delicate work. That being said JMB makes it easy to get it right, just trust the process and follow the instructions step by step.
My favorite JMB content is definitely of the Rainbow Unicorn and Sunflower. These two sets were so fun to build but really the lighting made them fun to film! The backlit feature of the Sunflower and the little drawer were fun surprises to share with my followers. The Unicorn is just beautiful to see and the up close filming with the fun cyber style music really made me feel happy with what I created. As someone who creates so much content it doesn’t always feel like a win. Then you create something that makes you feel like the art of the set helped you make your own art with the content. I strive for that feeling.
