Why We Created It

We didn’t build this because we needed another product.We built it because its form, its colors, and its history made us stop in our tracks.Some artworks ask you to pause.This one made us feel—and we wanted to carry that feeling into a buildable piece of art.

This sketch captures the dragon’s flow—the spine, the curl, the movement.
In Chinese culture, the dragon stands for strength and protection, never fear.
We started with this simple outline so the final build keeps that same ancient rhythm.

The lotus sketches came first—because in Chinese art, the lotus often appears beside dragons, symbolizing purity rising above chaos.
Our early palettes didn’t carry that meaning, so we moved to lake-blue and warm orange, a pairing that brings back the depth and glazed richness of the original Dragon Wall.

The two reference images we used had some color differences due to aging and photography, so they don’t perfectly match the original.
But their structure and general tones were still valuable.
Our final color choices were made by comparing these references, observing details in person, and aiming to stay as true as possible to the original look.
