What inspired us to create this set?
The journey of our Mechanical Hummingbird 70011 set began in 2024, sparked by a desire to bring a community-envisioned design to life. We reached out through a Facebook group post, inviting enthusiasts to share their dream brick model. This sparked a collaborative process where the community accompanied us every step of the way, from the initial drafts to the final product, offering invaluable suggestions and feedback.
We are thrilled that after a dedicated period of refinement and incorporating this collective creativity, the final design for the Mechanical Hummingbird was completed in 2025, with sales commencing the same year. This set truly represents a shared passion and a collective journey to create something special.

Two-sided Hummingbird Design
On one side, witness the vibrant beauty of nature, with the hummingbird adorned in rich, life-like colors and organic details, capturing the delicate essence of the living creature. Flip it around, and you'll discover a stunning mechanical marvel. This alternate side reveals a more industrial, perhaps futuristic or steampunk-inspired hummingbird, featuring intricate gears, metallic textures, and a captivating robotic look.
Lighting Effect
This set features a variety of strategically placed lights to highlight its stunning details:
- The hummingbird's eyes captivate with a vibrant blue light.
- The surrounding flora is beautifully accented, with red lights illuminating the stamens of the flowers.
- The charming insect decorations each feature their own distinct glow: the bee buzzes with a yellow light, the dragonfly darts with a red light, and both the butterfly and mushroom are cast in a whimsical green light.
