I am rushing to write this review because I am so impressed with your products, including the one I recently received from you and just completed building.
I would like to comment on Vintage Car Model 30, Number 50003. It is a striking model. Eye catching. The colours are excellent and the size is just right. But it is the presentation that really shines here. Opening the box and removing its contents is truly a joy and so much fun. I love the quality of....everything; the bricks, the print material, the bags, the pouches, the lighting! Very well done. Thank you for the good quality tweezers and finger socks. Nice touch! This high level of presentation is really appreciated.
The building experience, however, did not match this same high standard. Some of the instructions were not intuitive and sometimes too easy to complete incorrectly. Not serious but a small frustration at times. My biggest concern is that this model feels like the engineering was rushed. The assembly is not as rigid as it should be during the build and doesn't improve along the way as many models do. This model comes apart much too easily. Several times it was difficult to properly attach parts and assemblies firmly without unwanted disassembly of other areas. Perhaps product testing was insufficient. But I really feel that the engineering of the model and building process should have been better.
From JMBricklayer I have Vintage Car 50001 and Train Bookends 50002. These are also outstanding models that didn't impress me quite as much with their presentation, but I was also highly impressed with the build quality and engineering of both.
I love your kits. They are excellent quality and a joy to unpack and build. I will be ordering more. Please accept my feedback in the positive. constructive spirit that it was written.
