From the hood ornament to the curved fenders, every piece feels like a tribute to automotive history.

I had decent expectations, but the build quality, clutch of the bricks, and final result really impressed me.

Actually, after building the car I'm reviewing my review. This is a difficult car to build, but not for the apparent reasons. The individual pieces are hard to put to put together, but fall apart if you manage touch them. Without any exaggeration, I spent more time rebuilding the car than actually building it. This aspires to be Lego but is not. And it's not just the small pieces that gave me trouble. The car doors fall off if you are not careful on how you touch them.
The rear fenders must have fallen apart ten times or more. I actually ended up glueing the parts to keep them in place.
The basic pieces are hard to fit together, come loose easily unless you need to pull the apart and then they require enormous effort to separate, which seems a contradiction in terms The other troubling thing is that so many pieces are missing. If it hed not been for my grandson's HUGE bag of Lego pieces I would not have been able to build it at all.

It's too bad the parts are so hard to work with, because the design of the car is so great. However, I think I'll stick with lego from now on.

Je suis une fan de briques de construction. Pour moi, c'est un peu comme un mix entre un puzzle et un meuble d'une fameuse marque suédoise. On a un côté très relaxant à suivre les instructions et une grande satisfaction à voir le résultat une fois fini. Que ce soit dit, c'est encore plus sympa que le diamond painting (ça coûte beaucoup plus cher aussi).

Les instructions sont bien faites, comme c'est généralement le cas avec ces kits de construction. Elles sont en couleur, ce qui facilité énormément l'assemblage. De même, les paquets sont numérotés, ce qui permet de limiter le nombres de pièces parmi lesquelles chercher aux différentes étapes du montage.

Je n'ai pas vraiment l'habitude de faire des véhicules. Mais il faut le dire, cette voiture rend bien mieux que ce que j'avais imaginé. Le fait qu'on puisse ouvrir la portière, le coffre et le capot, les phares, ça ajoute une petite touche de réalisme.
