Great looking. Enjoyable to build.

Very nice kit with good color instructions and nicely colored plastic pieces. The little reactor can be turned on and has a nice red glow.
As a former sub sailor I could point out some technical issues but this is not meant to be super accurate. It has the basic compartments to give a good idea of a ballistic sub with torpedos. I have not completed the build at the time of my review, but so far, no issues. Glad I bought this.

Wanted to love it, but it was frustrating

Was really excited for this build but ultimately I did not enjoy it by the end. Was missing multiple bricks, and though the bags were numbered, pieces needed could be in any of the bags.

A lot of extra bricks seemingly thrown in at random that don't end up being used which makes you think you've skipped something. The worst is finding a way to press the bricks in without dislodging another part of the build.

Can't recommend sadly, even for sub lovers.

Works

Assembly is good. The rear I had to glue because it kept falling off. I also glued current because it also would come off. The remote is ok. It works as it is supposed to work I wasn't missing any parts.

Exceeded expectations

I had a great time with this build! The submarine itself is very detailed interior design, including missiles, torpedoes, nuclear reactors, control room, meeting room, and even a little periscope. I also liked the stickers it came with as they seemed pretty appropriate to what you would imagine to be going on inside a nuclear attack submarine.

The build itself took me about an hour or so for each bag so 5 to 6 hours total and that is with organizing the pieces before building each section (total 4). It’s set up similar to the Lego system where each main section is separated so it’s pretty organized. The instruction book itself is pretty easy to read and follow.

The bricks themselves stick very well, things weren’t just falling off like you would find with some of the other brands outside of Legos. Matter fact, they stick to well so you have to be careful when putting down the parts because a few times I placed a piece in the wrong spot, and it took me a while to get it off. I ask liked the lighting feature it came with. Additionally, there are no extra pieces so if you lose something you’re out of luck but – I like knowing that I had every piece accounted for after finishing each section. The creator of this build did a great job engineering each part so everything works well together.

The completed model itself is very sturdy and heavy. It’s very detailed and reminded me of a Lego ideas project. When I get a chance, I’m going to see what else this company has available because I was super satisfied with their product. This builds really set a bar for all the other ones I will do after.

Good building experience.

This is a cool submarine Lego set for a first time builder. Not as challenging as I thought. Details are great, but some of the interior parts fall off as you build the top and bottom sections that require you to remove in order to reinstall parts that fell off. Exterior aft hull (both sides) pieces are very difficult to attach, gave me many problems. I decided to keep one side off to view inside. I give this set a 6 out of 10 rating.
